ألاباما ولاية في الجنوب من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. تحدها ولاية تينيسي من الشمال، وجورجيا من الشرق وفلوريدا وخليج المكسيك من الجنوب. ترتيبها 30 من حيث المساحة و23 من حيث عدد السكان من بين الولايات الأمريكية الخمسين. وهي جزء من منطقة الجنوب العميق الأمريكي. كما تعتبر تاريخيا جزءاً من منطقة الجنوب الصلب الأمريكي.
